Le persone percorrevano i sentieri locali, camminavano nei loro quartieri o semplicemente sedevano fuori osservando la natura nei loro cortili. Per me, \u00e8 stato un momento in cui ho rispolverato la mia macchina fotografica e riscoperto la mia passione di catturare belle immagini all&#039;aperto. Ero entusiasta di riconnettermi con la natura, ma volevo avvicinarmi alla mia fotografia in modo un po&#039; diverso. Non volevo andare in giro alla cieca facendo clic su tutto ci\u00f2 che vedevo. Ho guardato i loro webinar, mi sono consultato con loro e ho anche avuto il piacere di partecipare a tour fotografici con loro. Due dei miei fotografi preferiti di tutti i tempi, Melissa Groo e Daniel Dietrich, sono stati la mia ispirazione e hanno incarnato tutti i principi Nature First che continuo a seguire ancora oggi.<\/p>\n<p>Qualcosa che ha risuonato profondamente con me \u00e8 stata l&#039;idea che se ti prendi il tempo per conoscere il tuo argomento, che si tratti dei tipi di piante che attirano le api, i modelli di migrazione degli uccelli o i richiami dei coyote, avrai un rispetto pi\u00f9 profondo e apprezzamento del tuo soggetto e capacit\u00e0 di condividere tale conoscenza con gli altri attraverso le tue immagini. Ho iniziato a fotografare attraverso un obiettivo diverso per cos\u00ec dire. Ho ricercato i luoghi in cui sarei andato prendendo nota attenta dei sentieri da seguire per evitare di danneggiare l&#039;habitat sensibile. Ho usato guide sul campo per capire le varie piante e specie di insetti e uccelli e dove potrei trovarle. Ho anche studiato i comportamenti di alcuni mammiferi per capire il loro linguaggio del corpo e i segni di quando potrebbero essere stressati. Significa che non si applicano solo i principi Nature First quando si acquisisce l&#039;immagine, ma si applicano tali principi quando si condivide quell&#039;immagine. Come stai rappresentando il soggetto? Un coyote che insegue una preda pu\u00f2 creare una foto dall&#039;aspetto intenso, ma sarebbe fuorviante scrivere una didascalia che dice &quot;incontro spaventoso con un coyote oggi&quot; quando il coyote stava semplicemente cercando un pasto. O anche senza alcuna didascalia, le persone possono fraintendere ci\u00f2 che stanno guardando. Penso che questo sia un punto importante. Tante immagini vengono condivise e ricondivise attraverso i social media e possono essere facilmente estrapolate dal contesto senza la giusta didascalia. Inoltre, \u00e8 importante prestare attenzione alla condivisione dei luoghi, in particolare nidi di uccelli o tane di animali che potrebbero attirare pi\u00f9 persone in quel sito e allontanare involontariamente i genitori dai loro piccoli.
