Natuurlijk waren deze verhalen en hun impact het ontstaan van Nature First en de <a href=\"https:\/\/naturefirst.org\/nl\/principles\/\">7 principes<\/a>. Maar toen begonnen leden te vragen: &quot;Wat gaat de Nature First-organisatie doen als ze horen over onverantwoord gedrag?&quot; En nog belangrijker: &quot;Wat kan ik doen als ik uit de eerste hand onverantwoord gedrag zie?&quot; Dus laten we elk van deze vragen afzonderlijk bekijken, want het antwoord op elke vraag is heel anders...<\/p><p class=\"\"><strong>Wat gaat de Nature First-organisatie doen als ze horen over onverantwoord gedrag? <\/strong>Deze vraag kan in twee delen worden opgesplitst; offici\u00eble partners die de <a href=\"https:\/\/naturefirst.org\/nl\/principles\/\">7 principes<\/a>, en individuen (misschien zelfs Nature First-leden) die onverantwoordelijk gedrag vertonen.<\/p><p class=\"\">Nature First ontwikkelt een formele overeenkomst voor offici\u00eble partners. Dit partnerschap zal worden uitgebreid naar organisaties en bedrijven - van grote bedrijven tot workshopleiders van kleine bedrijven, onderwijsaanbieders en galerijconsortia. Partnerorganisaties nemen meestal contact met ons op omdat ze geloven in de Nature First-idealen en graag willen helpen de boodschap te verspreiden <a href=\"https:\/\/naturefirst.org\/nl\/principles\/\">7 principes<\/a>. De partnerovereenkomst schetst eenvoudigweg die verwachtingen. En als een partnerorganisatie niet meer aan die verwachtingen voldoet, wordt het partnerschap ingetrokken. Best makkelijk.<\/p><p class=\"\">Reageren op meldingen van onverantwoordelijk gedrag door een persoon, zelfs een van onze 900+ Nature First-leden, is <strong>niet <\/strong>zo simpel... Het primaire doel van Nature First is om een pleitbezorger te zijn voor de <a href=\"https:\/\/naturefirst.org\/nl\/principles\/\">7 principes<\/a> en leer natuurfotografen, en alle bezoekers van de natuur, over verantwoord gedrag. De natuur doet het eerst <strong>niet <\/strong>hebben een formele overeenkomst met elk individueel lid, zoals we doen met onze partnerorganisaties. Wanneer individuen zich aanmelden bij Nature First, verklaren ze hun toewijding aan de <a href=\"https:\/\/naturefirst.org\/nl\/principles\/\">7 principes<\/a>. We beschouwen dat als een belofte tot goed gedrag en we hopen dat iedereen zijn best zal doen om die belofte na te komen. Maar elk individu is anders. Ze bevinden zich op verschillende punten in hun reis en leren hoe ze een verantwoordelijke natuurfotograaf kunnen zijn. Elk individu kan verschillende situaties op een andere manier interpreteren. Ze zullen verschillende kennisniveaus hebben over hun natuurlijke omgeving en de impact die ze maken. Iedereen heeft in het verleden fouten gemaakt en zich onverantwoordelijk gedragen, waarschijnlijk onbedoeld, door gebrek aan kennis. Zelfs de besten van ons kunnen onzorgvuldig zijn in de opwinding van het moment, of gewoon niet op de hoogte zijn van de gevoeligheid van het gebied. De <a href=\"https:\/\/naturefirst.org\/nl\/principles\/\">7 principes<\/a> moeten dienen als onze herinneringen.<\/p><blockquote><p><em>Het primaire doel van Nature First is om een pleitbezorger te zijn voor de <a href=\"https:\/\/naturefirst.org\/nl\/principles\/\">7 principes<\/a> en leer natuurfotografen, en alle bezoekers van de natuur, over verantwoord gedrag.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p class=\"\">Nature First is van mening dat deze incidenten van onverantwoord gedrag een kans zijn om individuen te onderwijzen en te helpen meer te leren over verantwoorde natuurfotografie. We willen dat iedereen wordt opgenomen in de Nature First-beweging! Het uitroepen, in verlegenheid brengen of verbannen van individuen die slecht gedrag vertonen, en ze verwijderen van de Nature First-ledenlijst zou alleen maar dienen om ze buiten te sluiten - mogelijk voor altijd. We hebben liever dat ze leren van hun fouten en de volgende keer dat ze in het veld zijn, op basis van die kennis handelen.<\/p><p class=\"\">Nature First zal en kan geen toezicht houden op de onverantwoordelijke acties van individuen. Dat is niet ons doel. De <a href=\"https:\/\/naturefirst.org\/nl\/principles\/\">7 principes<\/a> zijn vanzelfsprekende richtlijnen die bedoeld zijn om op alle situaties van toepassing te zijn en die elk individu in staat stellen verantwoordelijk gedrag in het moment te interpreteren. Ze zijn met opzet niet geschreven als specifieke regels. Elk land, park en reservaat heeft deze details vastgelegd in hun wet- en regelgeving. Ze kennen en volgen is Principe #5. Maar we kunnen niet handhavend optreden. We hebben simpelweg niet de middelen om meldingen van overtredingen te onderzoeken en te bevestigen. En we geloven niet dat we gekwalificeerd zijn om een oordeel uit te dienen - hoe kunnen we in vredesnaam zorgen voor eerlijkheid en gebrek aan vooringenomenheid in elke situatie? Nee, handhaving en oordeel zijn niet onze doelen, vooral wanneer dergelijke acties die individuen waarschijnlijk voor altijd van onze beweging zouden vervreemden. We hebben liever dat ze leren en groeien om een beter beoordelingsvermogen te gebruiken en worden opgenomen in de Nature First-beweging.<\/p><blockquote><p><em>Nature First zal geen toezicht houden op de onverantwoordelijke acties van individuen. Dat is <strong>niet <\/strong>ons doel.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p class=\"\"><strong>Dus... Wat kun je doen als je onverantwoord gedrag uit de eerste hand ziet? <\/strong>Als het gedrag duidelijk in strijd is met de wet of regels en voorschriften, raden we je aan om het incident te documenteren (je hebt toch een camera bij je?) en dit aan de ambtenaren te melden. Laat de handhaving over aan de professionals. Verder is je reactie heel erg aan jou. Maar we hebben enkele aanbevelingen...<\/p><ul data-rte-list=\"default\"><li><p class=\"\">Als je je op dit moment veilig voelt om de persoon\/personen te confronteren, raden we een behulpzame, educatieve benadering aan, in plaats van autoritair of dwingend te klinken. Met andere woorden, geef mensen het voordeel van de twijfel en ga ervan uit dat ze zich simpelweg niet bewust zijn van de impact van hun onverantwoorde gedrag. &#039;H\u00e9, wist je dat het gebied achter het touw planten heeft die erg gevoelig zijn voor voetverkeer? Als je daar rondloopt, heeft dat waarschijnlijk een heel negatieve impact.\u201d Dit soort benadering heeft meer kans op succes dan autoritair. Niemand vindt het leuk om te horen wat hij moet doen. We weten dat dit niet altijd succesvol zal zijn, en velen voelen zich niet op hun gemak om anderen te confronteren. Zo kunt u onverantwoord gedrag altijd documenteren en melden.<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"\">Als je slecht gedrag op het internet ziet (je hoeft niet goed te zoeken), raden we je aan om, indien mogelijk, priv\u00e9 contact op te nemen met individuen en de bronnen op de Nature First-website te gebruiken om het nieuws over verantwoorde natuurfotografie te verspreiden. Mensen reageren veel eerder positief op priv\u00e9kritiek (zelfs als je de verandering in hun gedrag nooit ziet of beseft). Het publiekelijk uitschelden van een persoon op sociale media zal waarschijnlijk resulteren in ontkenning, afleiding, weerlegging en\/of vergelding. We hebben het allemaal gezien. En het leidt over het algemeen niet tot een positief resultaat. Onderwijs is een van de belangrijkste redenen voor de Nature First-website. U wordt altijd aangemoedigd om ernaar te verwijzen!<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"\">Wat als u hoort over onverantwoord gedrag van een Nature First-lid? Hoe teleurstellend\/irritant het ook mag zijn, probeer geen negatieve, reflexmatige reactie te krijgen. Neem de grote weg en beschouw het als een kans voor die persoon om te leren en te groeien. Denk erover na om contact op te nemen met de persoon om hem of haar naar zijn gedrag te vragen. Maar vraag jezelf eerst af:<\/p><ul data-rte-list=\"default\"><li><p class=\"\">\u201cBen je getuige geweest van het gedrag, of heb je erover gehoord uit 2e of 3e hand, of op internet?\u201d Zorg dat je op de hoogte bent van de feiten. Pas op voor internetclaims en ruzies.<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"\">Was het incident in het verleden, de <em>ver<\/em> verleden?&quot; We hebben allemaal fouten gemaakt in het verleden (dat zou wel eens onze volgende blogpost kunnen zijn). En we hebben allemaal harde lessen geleerd over de negatieve impact die we kunnen hebben. Hopelijk heeft die groei vandaag geleid tot beter gedrag.<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"\">&quot;Was het gedrag opzettelijk en\/of een herhaalde gewoonte, of een eenmalige fout?&quot; Nogmaals, we maken allemaal fouten, vooral &#039;in het moment&#039;. Fouten die onbedoeld zijn of te wijten zijn aan een gebrek aan kennis zijn geweldige kansen om te leren en te groeien. De overgrote meerderheid van de natuurfotografen is niet doelbewust bezig met het beschadigen van het milieu. Geef ze het voordeel van de twijfel.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><p class=\"\">Maak gebruik van de natuurfotografiecommunity! U kunt een verschil maken door slecht gedrag te bespreken en dit constructief te doen. Frustratie uiten is eenvoudig en kan overal op internet worden gezien. Maar laten we bespreken hoe we verandering kunnen bewerkstelligen. Zo is Nature First begonnen.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><blockquote><p><em>De overgrote meerderheid van de natuurfotografen is niet doelbewust bezig met het beschadigen van het milieu. Geef ze het voordeel van de twijfel. Slecht gedrag dat onbedoeld is of voortkomt uit een gebrek aan kennis kan kansen zijn om te leren en te groeien.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p>Dus waar het echt op neerkomt, ben jij - jullie allemaal. Laten we samenwerken om het woord te verspreiden en meer mensen bij de Nature First-beweging te betrekken, in plaats van te oordelen, te verbannen en uit te sluiten. De Nature First-beweging - met al zijn individuen gewijd aan de <a href=\"https:\/\/naturefirst.org\/nl\/principles\/\">7 principes<\/a> \u2013 kan het goede voorbeeld geven, anderen helpen groeien en leren, en het tij van negatieve impact op onze natuurlijke schatten keren.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Soon after we launched the Nature First movement, we started hearing stories about the irresponsible behavior of some nature photographers. Als gevolg van zijn twijfelachtige advies bracht ik een groot deel van mijn vroege jeugd door met het verkennen van het bergachtige terrein rond ons huis in Montana met een zoutvaatje in de hand. Gedurende deze jaren vond de wildernis zijn weg naar een diepe plek in mij en werd een centraal onderdeel van mijn leven. De eenzaamheid, de stilte en het gevoel van verbondenheid met iets dat veel groter is dan ikzelf heeft me sindsdien aangetrokken. Na mijn studie heb ik ongeveer tien jaar samen met mijn vrouw Joanna op het Europese Balkan-schiereiland gewoond. Jaren van hoge stress in deze periode leidden tot ernstige burn-out. Op zoek naar herstel greep ik de kans aan om naar de bergen van Colorado te verhuizen, aan de rand van het Rocky Mountain National Park. Daar, op stille paden, omringd door schoonheid en eenzaamheid, begon mijn ziel zich te herstellen. Ik besloot om van wandelen een carri\u00e8re te maken en werd zo een professionele natuurfotograaf. Terwijl ik dag en nacht over de vele paden van het nationale park wandelde op zoek naar unieke beelden, kwam ik weer tot leven en merkte dat ik overspoeld werd met dingen waarover ik wilde schrijven. Hierdoor werd ik schrijver en ook uitgever.
